The QuizBowl Systems Player App is a software-based buzzer that allows players to ring-in on questions posed by a moderator or host. It is designed to work with the QuizBowl Match Manager application. Players enter the Match Manager's IP address, enter their names, and then choose a team to join. A player's screen lights up if they are the ring-in winner, and all others are locked out.
The Match Manager component allows 2 teams of 1-5 players each OR up to 40 individual players to compete against one another via WiFi. Team "desks" can be displayed either vertically (indicating teams facing one another) or horizontally (indicating teams sitting side by side). A round timer keeps track of remaining time, and a public window - if connected to a projector - gives everyone a visual of the ring-in action.
